Thank you for pointing this out to us Jeremy, we do not want problems in
Ward 7. I have contacted the contractor for St. Thomas and the issue
has been resolved.

Subject: [Mpls] City Hall needs to open Harmon Place to pedestrians

Anyone at City Hall who may be looking in on this. Harmon Place down
town,
where St. Thomas is at work on both sides of the street, has posted the
following sign on both sides.

Sidewalk Closed
Use other side.

Just which side should I use, the one that's closed, or the one that's
closed?

This is very customer hostile gang. When issuing work permits for both
sides of the street, especially a street with low traffic volumes like
Harmon Place, how about closing a lane to traffic and allowing
pedestrians
to use it? Downtown is bearing more pedestrian traffic all the time.
The
City really needs to be more pedestrian friendly and stop closing
sidewalks
on both sides of a street.

Please fix this. It would be great if by 5 tonight a nice city employee
would go down there to lay some orange cones.

Thank you.
