WM says: This current situation has existed, to one degree or another, both
north and south sides since 1987, that I can personally attest to from here
in Central. Seventeen years.

VF says: Don has not been in office for seventeen years....and Don was the
one who initiated this ride.

WM says: No doubt they are grateful that the areas do not fall into their
wards.
It gives them the freedom to upgrade already nice areas in their own wards.

VF says: Don's ward did fall into the bus traveled areas, and if I'm not
mistaken he is out there every chance he gets, trying to make a difference.
When the ward members call on him to report, he is there again. Now, I
cannot speak for other council members, but I know for a fact Don is there
when there are problems, shootings, outrage. May I also add that it is with
a true sincerity that he is there as well.

WM says: Plus, of course, drawing the attention through photo/story ops does
nothing to change the situation either.

VF says: I don't look at this as an op, I look at this as information being
sent to everyone to let all know how the people in the these neighborhoods
are living, and that is often times in fear. As well, I think the story is
about the courageous people not the elected..
(My opinion of course)
