Because I could catch a bus to the west two blocks away...it would take
about 20 mins. but they discontinued that line..by car, it is a 10-15
minute drive depending on traffic. To ride the bike with shortcuts, then
take the LRT, is about the same as the car to Lake, but then I still have
to take a bus down Lake. I could walk 7 blocks to the east and catch a bus
that would take me directly to LRT; I still would have to catch a bus down
Lake St, eating up more time. I have free parking and a short commute so
until rail hits Lake and only during the summer will it be beneficial for
me...but still a true believer in the rail system. It's too bad it didn't go
down 35W in the sixties and 394/94 when that road was built. You most likely
don't want rail over in Highland and yes, right now seems to be inconvenient
for me; but the rail system needs to be at the main arteries of the two
cities and should have been there years ago. This business from DT to the
Mall or Airport is not my idea of a rail system or commuter system, but it's
here. I am afraid for you the chip will be chips...! Good luck!
