For the next few days there's a big convention in town of association executives, the folks who decide where conventions will be held. And while citizens are fleeing Minneapolis' crime, our mayor and other civic cheerleaders will be busy at the airport trying to woo future conventioneers.

R.T. and Council Members, I know we have more than a few millions invested in the Hilton and it's be nice to keep it full, but aren't we Minneapolis citizens at least as important as conventioneers? I'm going to invest a six figure sum in property somewhere in the next few years, wouldn't you rather make Minneapolis safe so I and my fellow citizens can invest in Minneapolis? And are not the life investments of Minneapolis citizens more important than conventioneer here for but a few nights?

        Awaiting some answers in Hawthorne,

                Dyna Sluyter
