If "Bus Rapid Transit" is to play a larger role, let it please be designed better than, say, the stops on I35 at Lake street. It takes a strong constitution (or abnormal psychology) to stand up there while the traffic roars by at 60+ mph. I tried it once.

From making the reverse commute to Bloomington, I've noticed that once the buses get out onto the larger suburban roads with 40+ mph speed limits, they are generally not allowed to stop by the side of the road and must make torturously slow roundabout routes through parking lots to bus stations in shopping centers and such. There has to be a better (and faster) way.
