There are no direct quotes that I know of,
What about "Government is not a solution to our problem, government is the problem?" The statement completely ignores the fact that Government is _us_ and is the only entity that has authority to do certain things (federal funding, etc.).
Of course, the goal of the Taxpayers League and Republicans in general is to eliminate taxes -- not to line the pockets of the rich (studies show they don't spend it) but to destroy any government social services. That's why the claim that the goal of the Bush tax cuts was to ease the recession is absolutely false. The money mostly went to people who did not spend it.
