I have not researched the efficacy, ethics, or possible misapplications of these cameras. I do believe if they are installed and utilized; the citation generated from the camera should be similar to a parking violation.
The violation should be against the vehicle and thus to the vehicle owner. It should not be a citation alleging that any particular individual was behind the wheel. Bottom line: It should not be an allegation of a moving violation, per se. The fine may be any appropriate amount; even commensurate with moving violations. Keith Reitman NearNorth REMINDERS: 1.
