Maybe we could rename the 'Crown Hydro' project after Reagan. Its an environmental fiasco waiting to happen.
As for Olson Memorial, if its to be renamed, fine. But the new person its named for should have some great place in MN and or Mpls history, not Washington D.C. Ron Leurquin Nokomis East Dorie wrote Floyd B. Olson needs to stay as named. When someone has a petition, there needs to be a counter of that movement. To talk about it is one thing, to act upon it is another....do something to assure the name is not changed. Crown Hrdo...power for 2,700 households. I find that number extremely small for the investment of 50 years on park land with water rights along with millions of dollars of investment.
