Maybe we are in the dog days of summer, the humidity is too high, or the Dow
Jones Industrial Average is too low; but how, given at least an average
intellect, did someone decide to rename Olson Memorial Highway.

If Ronald Reagan had been the savior, so to speak, of the Northside, maybe
so, but he was not. I will admit to having voted for Big Ron times two,
although in those years I was a bit more strident than I am now.

I am a bit concerned that the Taxpayers League, from their opulent offices
in the burb's have stuck their noses, once again, into something that is
none of their business. Perhaps I was a bit hasty with the previous
statement, but there are other issues afoot that should demand more of their
attention rather than a "tongue in cheek" effort as Mr. Strom has stated.

Each side of the aisle has a right to their heroes and icons. To suggest a
revisionist view of history flies in the face of what this country is about.
