I reread this editorial today in print and noticed, as I often do, things that I 
didn't see when reading it online.  The
following line was notable because the editors left out the part about their staff 
having done two profile pieces on
Jennings just prior to the "sudden" choice of the board.

> "In addition, board leadership came under justifiable scrutiny when directors 
> suddenly chose acting superintendent David
> Jennings to take the job permanently without a process of considering other
> candidates."http://www.startribune.com/stories/561/4964138.html

The Strib is leaving out some of their own culpability in one of the worst moves the 
board has made in years.
