Goodmorning Everyone, On behalf of the Metropolitan Urban Indian Directors, I want to say thank you for the great meeting in the halls of Anishinabe Academy(the meeting took place in the open halls of the school for all students and teachers to see). Yesterday was a reminder of the shared responsibility we have to ensure the best education for our children, regardless of where they go to school. Yesterday was a beginning, a willingness to explore better ways to partner, support and learn from each other. Yesterday was a celebration of exciting work taking place in education, but it was also a reminder that much work needs to take place to optimize American Indian youth success. We will build on yesterdays energy and continue to explore collective ways to continue to support the success of our children and their families. Below is a list of organizations/offices who were in attendance at yesterday MUID meeting....awesome! Lets continue to work together.
