The List Manager asked this forum a little while back what people
thought of Minneapolis school board candidates.

I thought I'd point out two sources of information.

The Star Tribune today published the second in a series of articles
today on issues the new board will likely deal with. Today's package
contains a backgrounder article on the achievement gap, and edited
responses on the topic from the six candidates who will be on the
November ballot. We did the same with school closing criteria on Oct.
4. There will be upcoming articles on two more topics.

You currently may find the longer responses of the candidates on these
two issues by searching on the topics in the archive of Startribune.com
I'm hoping that these Q-As soon will be linked to the online voter
guide, which is found by clicking on politics in the home page, then
voters guide, then Minneapolis school board.

Meanwhile, the Southwest Journal that arrived on my doorstep over the
weekend contains profiles of three schoool board candidates, with
profiles of the other three planned in the next issue. If you live
outside its circulation area, try www.swjournal.com
