I think we all would agree that traffic has increased, but the particular issue that has all our dander up is the lights and timing issue. They seem totally inappropriate (stopped in all directions), wasteful (time and fuel consumption - not being able to turn when LRT is on opposite side), and in some instances downright unsafe (poles going down when lights are still green). No one was complaining about the traffic before or now, just the havoc the LRT has created. I'm all for the LRT, but they're going to have to work something out that is more reasonable.

It also seems to me like traffic is increasing on most of the other arteries, too, which likewise and consequently adds to Hiawatha.
