It is nearly impossible to promote progressive change in
a bureaucracy without being accused of being abrasive.
It is not surprising to hear that defenders of the
status quo are unhappy with Ms. Peebles if she is
actually trying to improve the system.  Besides the
fact that we all should have been aware that there
would be a clash of styles.  I've given up hope that I
will ever get unbiased news reporting from the City
Pages.
