I am sure that some list members remember this because they were there- according to this webpage http://scc.net/~t-bonham/MPLSW03B.HTM Don Samuels did seek DFL endorsement at the DFL Special 3rd Ward Convention in Dec 02. Samuels was dropped after the second ballot with 11% of the votes- being beaten by Moore at 51% and Kari Dziedzic at 37.5%. Moore went on to a 62% to 38% victory over Dziedzic in the 3rd ballot.
