Wrong.
It's been the GOP's attempt to disrupt the system that
has been thrown out of court. Take Ohio for instance:

Ken writes on:
Last time I looked, conservatives didn't need to be
told to vote - the overwhelming majority of
them come out without the need of a doorknocking
campaign.
---
Eric:
Which backs up the point that apparently a majority of
Democrats don't vote (actually it's a majority of
citizens who can- don't vote). So, with a good GOTV
program, more DFLers come out, Conservatives loose and
DFLers win. You point out why its advantageous for the
Conservatives to work toward less people voting. So,
they drum up some a frenzy over voter fraud with very
little evidence or none at all.
Ken writes again:

> commended. Thank God we have the right to do so.
> "a Party that feels they have the right to rule
> over us..." Who is "us"?
Eric responds:
The "us" is the same "we" that you thank G-d for
having the right to vote.
Ken again:
"part of the groups that have been caught time
and time again trying to disrupt the election with
illegal and unethical tactics". Explain. Sure, I see
your examples. There are opportunists on both sides -
politics is dirty business.
---
Eric responds:
The examples are not pulled from out of space. These
are concerted efforts across the country by one side
to keep the voting numbers down. It's un-American. No
excuses.
I'll wait for a dozen or so examples of how the Left
is pi--ing on our democratic process. Forgive me if I
don't hold my breath.

Ken:
Unfortunately, we must all live with the

Eric:
Re-read the cited efforts listed in my first e-mail.
They are facts and figures. Where are the facts and
figures on the rampant 'fraud'?

Ken:

vote." As opposed to sponsoring legislation and

minorities in poverty and reliant on government

Eric:
Again, re-read the examples I gave in the last e-mail.
Crack deal was discovered to be a drug-user who was
caught. He lied about what he was doing with help from
the deputy and now the FBI is investigating the
Sheriff's Department.
Sounds like national policy to me. Not enough space to
address 40 years, but over the last 4 under
Bush(following my signature).

Facts and Figures:
Under Bush, Up to 700,000 More African Americans Now
Live in Poverty. US Census Bureau data indicate that
during the Bush presidency, the national poverty rate
increased to 12.1 percent and the percentage of
African Americans in poverty rose to 24.1 percent in
2002 from 22.7 percent in 2001. According to an
analysis by the Center on Budget and Policy
Priorities, "Increases in poverty were largest among
blacks...The number of blacks who were poor increased
by 500,000 or 700,000, depending on which definitional
category of blacks is used." [US Census Bureau,

http://www.census.gov/prod/ 2003pubs/p60-222.pdf;
Center on Budget and Policy Priorities,

Under Bush, the Clinton-Era Trend of Declining African
American Poverty Rates Has Reversed. The 2002 African
American poverty rate marked the first increase in
African American poverty since 1992. During the
Clinton era, African American poverty dropped to 22.5
percent in 2000 from 33.4 percent in 1992, the lowest
African American poverty rate in American history. [US

Left Behind at the Start: Bush Budget Weakens Early
Education. Head Start currently serves nearly 1
million children nationwide, about 300,000 of them
African American. In addition to early academic
instruction, the program also provides food, medical
and dental care, and mental health screenings to
low-income families. In 2001, 34 percent of children
serviced by Head Start were African American. [The
Chicago Tribune, 7/25/03; Center for Law and Social
Policy, www.clasp.org]
* Bush Barely Increased Funding To Head Start,
Limiting Number of Children Served. Bush's 2005 budget
provides just enough to maintain -- but not increase
-- the program's enrollment levels. Given its budget
constraints, Head Start currently serves only 60
percent of the total number of children eligible for
the program. [House Budget Committee Democratic
Caucus, 2/6/04; www.omb.gov; Chicago Tribune, 11/2/03]
Bush Budgets Fail To Deliver Mandated Funding For His
No Child Left Behind Act. The four budgets Bush has
submitted to Congress broke his promise to fully fund
No Child Left Behind, falling short by $33.2 billion,
including $22.4 billion less for Title I schools.
[President's FY 02-05 Budget, www.ed.gov]
* States Rebuke Bush For Unfunded Educational
Mandates. The bipartisan National Governors
Association voted unanimously to label Bush's No Child
Left Behind Act an unfunded mandate. A November 2003
survey of nearly 2,000 superintendents and principals
found that 9 in 10 viewed No Child Left Behind as an
unfunded mandate. Between 2002 and 2004, education
spending in 35 states was unable to keep pace with
increases in inflation and enrollment. [The Wallace
Foundation, www.wallacefoundation.org; Education Week,
