For nonexistent God's sake, Wizard, why didn't you contact the GLBT
community for help when the man was shouting hate speech at your house through
a megaphone and the Gay man was being picketed by the Christ Crazies in the
church across the street from his house? Ditto for all the other Gays
mentioned in your post who were subected to hate crimes. If OutBackwards
Minnesota felt picketing was too militant, there are still some of us around
who are not afraid to picket. We could have organized counter pickets of the
man spewing hate speech at your house and the Christ Crazy church picketing the
Gay man across the street from their church. And so on to for all the other
incidents you mention. I never heard about any of this over in Loring Park
where I live but I would have loved to confront the man with the megaphone and
the picketing Christ Crazies with a megaphone of my own telling them just how
utterly, absolutely contemptible they are.
The next time something like this happens will you please call me at
612-870-8026. I am not some charismatic leader who can bring hundreds of
people out on the street but I should be able to mobilize a few people.
