I remember when there were Republicans on the city council, not all that long ago. My take on it is that they moved to the burbs or out of Minnesota or, in the case of Schulstad (an "independent") retired. In other words they left the field to the DFL which schismed to debate. It would be better to have a mix, but what can you do if one team leaves the field?
