blow-up "things" I have ever seen and place them right outside in front of
their doors. Kind of ugly if you ask me.(perhaps a "BAN" on sidewalk
ugliness would be a good idea)."

Why not? Minneapolis is big on bans. If you recall, Jimmy's was a super ugly
windowless bar, pretty well known as a low-life hang out. The new Rail House
is much nicer, they put alot of work into fixing and opening the place up
with new windows, patio, et-c. Since they are a new establishment, they are
trying to attract attention to themselves. I live blocks from the place, and
have no problem with their silly inflatables.

think we should raise the bar of quality for these strictly "neighborhood"
restaurants, and not settle with mediocrity, and not have to drive miles
away. Is that too much to ask for in a small Minneapolis neighborhood?"

Call the city council, and ask them to legislate what type and quality of
food must be served in Minneapolis resturaunts. While they're at it, they
can institute price controls, so everyone can afford this high quality
homogenized food. Why not? It's Minneapolis, right?
