But Vicki, as bad as you think that is, sometime look at the situation in the suburbs, as well as the outstate area. I believe million dollar, homesteaded, farms pay far less percentage. Perhaps they need ethical considerations also? But since when did ethical consideration have anything to do with either taxes or politics?

The screaming you would hear would be louder from outstate if the "Winking" ended than in the City. Perhaps we do need a less "Wink, Wink" method, but it would need to be State wide, not just Minneapolis. The whole art of politics in all of Minnesota seems to be to gain power so you can make the assessor wink longest for your friends.

But as the old goes government should "just take what it needs and leave the rest, but they should never have taken the very best"

My taxes have gone up 15 to 70% each of the last few years. I can assure you, I am concerned about where it goes.
