As I noted in an earlier post, please make sure your post focuses on local stuff — that's why we exist — rather than more generalized background information. If the background info becomes the sole point of your post, send it to your antagonist and other interest parties, but not the list as a whole.
Again, I know the intentions are honorable. The point is to keep the focus squarely on our own slice of heaven.
