Ed Felien starts off on a good note when he admonishes us to avoid the trap
of assuming that the most electable person in the Progressive Popular Front is
a DFL'er. But after saying the Green Party should run a candidate for Mayor,
he goes off track when he starts speculating about endorsing a DFL'er for Mayor
in return for their endorsing several of our City Council candidates.
   As we survey the wreckage that the recent bout of ABB and supporting
Democrats like Kerry as the "lesser evil" has left in the Green Party,we shold
eschew like the plague any notion of coalitions with the DFL. We should try to
elect as many of our own candidates as we can and leave the DFL to its role of
siphoning off the energy of progressive movements in to propping up the ruling
class and its system.
