I was still living in the Fifth Ward during the last
round of endorsements. Natalie Johnson Lee was a DFLer
seeking endorsement until she didn't get the
endorsement- on the first ballot. She walked out of
the endorsemet still determined to run. Later she was
approached by the Greens, went to the convention and
got endorsed.

I think I remember Dean making a play for DFL
endorsement or some kind of cross endorsement. He came
to the convention with tape on his mouth as a protest
to the rules.

Both parties, the DFL for sure, can only endorsement
candidates who are DFLers. The Greens have ten key
values and four macro statements which at a minumun
you agree to follow or let guide you. The DFL has a
party platform. Also, on the ballot, there is room for
only one party affiliate.

Well, after seeing party affiliates listed as
Socialist Workers Party and the infamous White Working
Man's Party last time around, I guess there is room
for Democratic Farmer-Labor Green Independent.
