The "perceived increase in crime" is the result of AN INCREASE IN CRIME, not
racism! Violent crime in Minneapolis is skyrocketing. Our murder rate this
year is at or near a record high.
If a 3% increase is your definition of skyrocketing, I guess it is.

We have 50 murders this year so far compared to 45 last year at this time. The record high was 97 in 1995. It seems unlikely we will get another 40 in the next couple weeks.
