How do we know this? I have yet to see enter into the discussion, not just

minimal, safe, adequate, optimal, excessive, and such police officer levels for any city, let alone Minneapolis.

WM: I can only go by the service we are receiving compared to what the actual work that is police business I can see from my window. We do not have enough police officers to contend with what is happening on the streets; we do not have enough undercover officers to contend with following the nogoodniks back to their lairs, we do not have enough police officers to put together the cases against the nogoodniks.
Exactly how many officers are enough I have no idea. But I do know that police officers have to "work" an area, and a wide enough to be practical area, in order to make a dent in the kind of activity we have around my house.
The police worked hard all summer, concentrating efforts around here, but we have no fewer dealers and the dealers we do have are the same ones we had this past summer, so no one appears to have met with consequences as yet.
One of my friends who lives at Franklin and Park says some of the activity from around his house has moved over to Franklin and Portland. Not a win.
