The city council of StPaul, including Debbie Montgomery, is up for election every FOUR years. The whole city council is elected all at once, no staggered terms. All were elected in November 2003; none will be up for election until November 2007.
The StPaul mayor is up for election in 2005 - but not the council, not Debbie M. So we're back to Natalie Johnson Lee, MPLS city council, who IS up for election in Nov 2005. Dirty tricks are more likely to be played on those soon up for reelection. The DP and RP and Chamber of Commerce types might like to see the GP out never to return; let's consider possible motives for attack before believing the attack. --David Shove Roseville On Wed, 22 Dec 2004, Loki Anderson wrote: > David Shove wrote: > > On Tue, 21 Dec 2004, Eva Young wrote: > > > > It's also notable that Natalie Johnson Lee is the only African > American > > elected official Battle mentioned.
