Regarding the tree-eating Pit Bull: The owner obviously has no idea how to care for a dog, or how to care for trees that are public property in his neighborhood. The dog shouldn't be punished for the owner's irresponsible behavior. Call animal control at 348-4250 and report the situation. If the dog is being walked on a leash, the owner has control over the dog and where it stops to chew, period. If the dog isn't on leash, the owner is breaking the law and should be fined.
