Or even just a consciousness-raising effort - which Steve Rueff deserves
credit for, short of a ban.

Greg's notion seems like a good idea to me. Get the word out about the
substantial decibel and pollution differences between gas and electric -
facts I didn't know before reading Steve's stuff.

Pollution awareness has certainly made a difference in my neck of the urban
woods for lawn mowers (lots more electric ones around here lately).

Now, I personally hate leaf blowers, but it seems "moral suasion" should be
given a bigger try before any new laws. (Again, I don't mind specifically
enumerating leaf blowers in existing noise law, which is worth enforcing. I
wonder how many anti-leaf-blower-law folks also despise boom cars and wish
their occupants were hauled off to jail.)
