In a recent post I said that Commissioner Young gave a vociferous apology
for the rude conduct of the Park Board when it told some members of the public
to leave the reception after the annual meeting. I chose the wrong adjective.
Vociferous implies loud, or strident or vehement insistence.
Annie Young spoke for the entire board in a sincere apology that was not
strident, but genuine. ( Although somewhat undermined by Walt's comments about
how much food he brought home)
I appreciate many things the Park Board does and many advantages I have
because of a wonderful Park system. Annie was trying to make the best out of an

awkward situation.

I also appreciate Annie's efforts to keep the public informed and involved,
something that is often not done well at the Park Board.
Thanks Annie for answering questions and trying to make the park system more
user friendly.
I should have said that Commissioner Annie Young gives" voice to" public
concerns.

Thanks,
Scott Vreeland Seward
