Victoria H wrote about the "decline" in Mpls population using the 1950 peak as a baseline. I was surprised that nobody pointed out a few of the problems with her presentation.

First, the children in those families grew up and moved out of mom & dad's place, leaving the household at a smaller size.

Second, the city has recently seen a reversal and increase in population as the last 3 decennial census figures reveal:
1980: 370951
1990: 368383
2000: 382618
