FOUNDERS� DAY: FIGHTING FOR HEALTH AND JUSTICE

Saturday, January 22nd - 12:30 � 7:30 PM

Minneapolis Urban League

2100 Plymouth Av. N., Minneapolis

Come for some of the day or all of the day, but don�t miss this event!

A day packed full of learning, sharing, problem-solving, and celebration!

A chance to meet politicians and citizens concerned about health and

justice. Two keynotes with amazing stories of the struggles they�ve seen

and the hope they hold for the future. A charge to carry on the work of

those who came before us in the pursuit of justice for all!

1:00 Keynote by John McCown

2:00-4:55 Workshops � Learn more about various environmental hazards

we face (mercury and fish, lead in our homes, asthma and air quality,

pesticides in our foods, etc.) and ways we can fight for justice!

5:00 DINNER � Free for all registered attendees

6:00 Keynote by Dr. Tyrone Hayes,

About our keynote speakers:

John McCown is a national EJ Activist and past Director of the National

Sierra Club�s Environmental Justice Program. You can read more about John

Tyrone Hayes is a Professor of Endocrinology at UC, Berkeley, whose

research revealed severe reproductive deformities in frogs exposed to

atrazine, a common agricultural herbicide. You can read more about Tyrone
