I'd be curious to know what the thoughts are on what an "appropriate" amount of time BEFORE the upcoming mayoral election would have been for RT to send this literature out... And if it had been publshed 6-months earlier, he'd still probably be castigated for wasting taxpayers money...

Personally, I like the piece... It allows me to see the forest through the trees, so to speak... There have been many positive changes in our City over the last 3+ years... We should all be proud of that..

If I am not mistaken, in my brief involvement with campaigns, I have always noticed that on campaign literature, there are three terms that ALWAYS appear; "elect" (or re-elect), "vote for", and "endorsed".. I didn't see any of these terms in the literature I received from the City.

I also think it is important to point-out that other than the local reporting that our newspapers and television stations provide, there is no real means for lower-income residents of our city to receive information regarding the issues and initiatives facing our City, which is especially important in an election year.

I find it somewhat disturbing that some would question the need for the distirbution of information to residents within our to occur. But then again, list members by and large, stay very well-informed on the "issues"....
