I agree with some others that the Mayor has done a pretty fair job of running our City through a huge and on going budget crises. I personally am impressed by his "getting up to speed" on issues confronting a land he had previously never known, my World, North Mpls.
I still am disappointed he never brought for-profit housing providers, small independent business people called landlord, to the table of municipal housing policy. He promised; and he waffled there. He is still a good Mayor in many other respects. As for the Mailing, I haven't seen it. if it has the appearance of campaign material; he should say oops sorry, and reimburse the City. Heck that money is about one cops gross pay. I would go further, too. I propose a recall of the literature. Rep. Kahn might be interested; willing to go out and manually pick it all up. I understand she is pretty fast. Just for old times, perhaps she could drop off some of the other candidates lit in the process? She would then be turning lemons into lemonade in the democratic process while utilizing "old school" lessons. Win win. Keith Reitman NearNorth REMINDERS: 1. Be civil!
