There doesn't seem a whole lot of point to this thread. This deal is in the bag; indeed, the hole in the ground of last fall is now high enough to sprout at least one wing. So, the building as an issue is dead as a kipper on a cracker. Let's move on to the real issues qua library: collection, staff (= hours), patronage, money and how to get closer to the ideal from here.
