Thank you Derek, these are great questions. I would also like to know
from mayoral candidates specifics about:

8. How specifically will they support, engage, and build NRP groups?

9. What they will propose toward streamlining or improving the structure
of the Minneapolis government?

10. What they will do to improve the environmental sustainability of the
city in the areas of energy efficiency, waste reduction, surface water
quality, air quality, and how they will address the problems of
environmental injustice to vulnerable and other groups?

11. How they will make the city more bicycle and pedestrian friendly?

12. What they will do to build the business and economic strength of the
city, including what their plans are for supporting small businesses and
non-profits, and for encouraging large businesses to expand or relocate to
Minneapolis?

I understand that the candidates are scheduling debates. Does anyone know
where and when they will be?

I was at an open house for ward 2 city council candidate Cara Letofsky
this weekend. Cara said that she will be debating the other candidates
for ward 2 and that the mayoral candidates are supposed to be there as
well.

As an aside, I was impressed with the open house. There were lots of
people there including environmentalists, labor people, and neighborhood
activists. Cara spoke to the group and took some questions about her
vision for the city. I'm looking forward to learning more about Cara and
the other ward 2 candidates and hope to hear a lot more publicly from the
mayoral candidates.
