Buoyed by the ringing endorsement of Jim Graham, the Luce at Large campaign
announces its support for and expansion of the anti-idling ordinance. Not
only should the idling of trucks and busses be prohibited, but the
anti-idling ordinance should be expanded to include, among others, lobbyists
and obtuse journalists. We are also supportive of establishing--as an
alternative to the Empowerment Zone--one or more Idling Zones. As our
campaign position states in its blog (www.sinaubongo.blogspot.com):

"the initial Idling Zones will allow unrestricted idling of lobbyists and
obtuse journalists in and around those areas where trucks and busses are
prohibited from idling. We believe this is a 'win-win' solution where
noxious diesel fumes and noise are replaced by the heat and steam of some of
our best idling citizens."
