The company i used to work for signed a lease in the IDS center for i think 4
floors, but for sure 3 floors, in i believe 99. at the time we needed the
space as the 4.5 floors they had in the Dain building was not enough. shortly
after moving in the tech bubble burst and layoffs slashed the workforce by
maybe half. From what i hear they are still using all 3 floors but one of them
is only 1/4 occupied.

I post the above because i think the building were built because the space was
needed at the time. and at that time no one knew how soon the economy would
turn. we were having record year after record year. we were in our 25th year
as a company and we were put on the minnesota fast 50 for the first time as one
of the 50 fastest growing companies. all that came to a screeching halt due to
the economy and a bad business deal. needless to say, no one affiliated with
the company knew there would be hard times.
