Sorry to all. I responded to Dennis but did not CC the list. I am still new at this. Here is my response:
I would like to add that the information regarding the City Kids program is false. First, "the City Kids grant" was made to the Folwell Neighborhood Association not JACC. The program's focus is Arts, Life Skills and Active Games and Sport. The program will be located in three North Minneapolis parks, Folwell Park, Far View Park and North Commons Park. The program is intended to support the academic growth of 7-14 year old children living in the North side through life skills classes, homework assistance, guided writing and spoken word, karate, distance running as well as games, lunches and snacks. The program will be offered as a day camp during the summer and as an After School Enrichment (ASE) program during the school year. City Kids is all free and open to any kid, 7-14, who lives on the North Side starting the Monday after school lets out. Dave Boyd City Kids Program Director Folwell REMINDERS: 1. Be civil!
