Tamir:

I'm not much af a fan of RT Rybak these days, but I have to respond.
Rybak's selection of McManus to be police chief was one of the few times
that the Mayor actually tried to bring the community together as
opposed to dividing it....and in fact the community came together
overwhelmingly for the new police chief.

Me:

Tamir, you are neither gay or black. How can you speak with such certainty
about how the black community or gay community felt about the police cheif
decision and whether or not they were pitted against one another in a move to
divide and conquer? Obviously, there were people at Stonewall today that
thought that is exactly what happened and they spoke out about it.

Tamir:

Further more, Comissioner McLaughlin's Law-and-Order focused campaign
which attempts to eliminate police accountability (barely achieved,
desperatly needed,) is extrememly dishonorable.

Me:

I have seen nothing in Peter's campaign materials that lead me to believe he
wants to eliminate police accountability. Did I miss something? The moves Peter
has made to get more help into the Phillips neighborhoods is helping. Getting
probation officers assigned to the precincts and working out of the Franklin
Safety Center has helped to get a lot of the repeat offenders off the streets.
Ask Amy Klobuchar.

Tamir:

Robert Lilligren, the progressive who initially challenged Brian Herron when it
looked
like an uphill battle, and Vice President Lilligren seem to be very different
people. Robert...I mean Mr. Vice President, you've really changed....

Me:

Of course he has changed. He has been in the job over 3 years now. Everyone who
gets these posts change. Based on the experiences the job brings. I will say in
all biased honesty that Robert hasn't changed for the worse. I find him very
ethical, very passionate about the job, a real mover and shaker, willing to
stand up and tell you no when he doesn't agree with you and a person with alot
of integrity. As I have said in previous posts, he is really good at this.

Tamir it's obvious you have some axe to grind with Robert so I won't argue with
you about that. You are in a different ward so you have others to choose from
to represent you.

I have to choose between Robert and Dean. Robert has my support hands down.
