Lisa McDonald stated that she was not planning to seek DFL endorsement for this seat. It was pointed out that Stonewall DFL, as a caucus of the DFL Party, only endorses candidates seeking DFL endorsement. Previously, she had been included in the motion to find candidates acceptable.
She did screen, and was well received, both in her responses to questions, discussion of past support for the glbt community, and her mention of past endorsements from Stonewall DFL.
Had she been seeking DFL endorsement, she would likely have been found acceptable by Stonewall DFL. But as she isn't, it doesn't matter.
