The House belatedly passed a bonding bill yesterday
that contained a number of Minneapolis-related items
including:

2,000,000 for the Colin Powell Center
1,000,000 for a Planetarium
5,000,000 for the Midtown Exchange Project
1,000,000 for the Shubert Center (which apparently
ranks higher than a disco ball)
5,000,000 for Bioscience development in Minneapolis
50,000 to MPRB to connect Stinson Parkway to the Grand
Rounds in NE
1,200,000 for Lowry Avenue Corridor from Girard to
I-94

Lots of Transit stuff that connects Minneapolis to
other places:

10,000,000 for the Northstar Commuter Rail
1,000,000 for Central Corridor Transit (to St. Paul)
500,000 for Red Rock Transit (to St. Paul and
Hastings)

This is the House version which is smaller than the
Senate. I expect most of these items will make it into
the final bill, but there is still another level of
negotiation left, and some may be excised from the
final version. Some (like Northstar) will probably be
increased (to 37.5 million).

I found a great name for a band in there too:

"Luverne Dementia Wander Area"
