Subject: You have been unsubscribed from the Mclaughlin mailing list From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] To: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
Which is rather amusing since I was never part of the McLaughlin campaign. A while back I started getting unsolicited e-mails from the McLaughlin campaign giving notice of upcoming campaign events and such. I never signed up or requested to be a member of the Mclaughlin mailing list, perhaps they thought I was a supporter and just put me on the list. The McLaughlin campaign list appears not to be available for public subscription, and there is no link to it off of Peter McLaughlin's campaign web site. So clearly the list in question is for campaign insiders, which I am not.
Apparently the McLaughlin campaign has not been reading this list either- if they had they would have noted my endorsement of their opponent a couple months back which I withdrew after the taxpayer funded puff piece appeared. I thus became uncommitted, and since then our Minneapolis DFL chair has admonished us DFL hacks, even lowly precinct chairs such as myself, to remain uncommitted during the endorsement process.
I ma thusly quite uncomitted, although if the McLaughlin campaign does not wish my support I have only one other mayoral candidate left. And after the botched Stonewall DFL "endorsement", the Minneapolis Central Labor Union Council's decision to delay endorsement, and just plain stupid gaffes like this the McLaughlin campaign seems to be at least deflating if not imploding.
Of course being uncommitted doesn't mean we can't campaign... for our neglected Northside! Campaigns might want to do the math ahead of time and see that a block of uncommitted delegates from the Northside could throw or deny an endorsement in the mayoral and several council races...
