This misses the point. There is no caucus system in California that allows the individual fringe to exert a dominate influence on city and state elections. If DLFers are at all curious why the state and country are so out-of-step with their values they need only engage in a little self- reflection. Locally, the DFL can continue to be delusional in Minneapolis until the school system and the city finances come crashing down on their heads. I ask again, is the city's debt increasing or decreasing? Playing with the numbers has changed a 51% failure to graduate into a 47% dropout rate, but sooner or later the citizens of Minneapolis will have to face up to the fact that their notions of equality and fairness are really only empty expressions of selfishness. What are the implications of a Blue state having TWO Republican senators and a Republican governor? Michael Atherton Prospect Park REMINDERS: 1. Be civil!
