This misses the point.  There is no caucus system
in California that allows the individual fringe
to exert a dominate influence on city and state
elections.  If DLFers are at all curious why the 
state and country are so out-of-step with their 
values they need only engage in a little self-
reflection.  Locally, the DFL can continue to be 
delusional in Minneapolis until the school system 
and the city finances come crashing down on their 
heads.  I ask again, is the city's debt increasing
or decreasing?  Playing with the numbers has changed
a 51% failure to graduate into a 47% dropout rate, 
but sooner or later the citizens of Minneapolis will 
have to face up to the fact that their notions of 
equality and fairness are really only empty expressions 
of selfishness.  What are the implications of a
Blue state having TWO Republican senators and a
Republican governor?
