The Longfellow and Corcoran Neighborhoods are working with the Resource
Center of the Americas to engage Latino neighbors in neighborhood
activities.

All Latino residents and those interested are invited to our first meeting
Friday, March 18 7pm to 8:30pm

de Corcoran. Lo principal es conocernos unos con otros, sean o no
propietarios de casa. El �nico requisito es vivir y trabajar en este
vecindario.
Vengan con toda la familia, tendremos entretenimiento para los ni�os. Se
proyectara una pel�cula, Jugaran a la loter�a.
Se les ense�ara como hacer unos collares de fantas�a.!!
Para los adultos rifaremos algunos art�culos!!!!
Traiga su comida favorita y todos compartiremos.

Smart Choices Training, March 31st at Sabathani
We are working to get the word out with immigrant communities in Minneapolis
about how to protect their kids from environmental health hazards (mercury
in fish, lead paint dust, mold, pesticides, etc.)  Please join us for this
free training for anyone who would like to help with this outreach effort.

Smart Choices: Creating Non-Toxic Environments for Children

�         Meet others doing outreach with immigrant communities and
communities of color
�         Identify action steps that families can take.
�         Learn how to teach parents common routes of kid's exposure to
toxins
�         Walk through of the Smart Choices presentations for bi-lingual
parents
�         Receive sample training materials - "top 10 ways to keep your kids
safe," non-toxic cleaning kit, lead testing kit, non-toxic pest control kit
Although this training is designed for people who work with immigrant
communities and communities of color, anyone interested in doing
presentations on Children's Environmental Health is welcome to join.  If you
