I am encouraged by the posts of John Erwin and Annie Young both of whom
are Citywide Park Board Commissioners regarding what might be done about
the proposed use of some open space on Nicollet Island by DeLaSalle High
School for an athletic field. The public response on both sides seem
interested in generating heat rather than light on the issue. At least
the commissioners are saying that "I'm open to facts and would welcome
any input that can provide more facts." It also seems evident that they
are interested in the possibility of a win-win outcome.
