Ron responds; Unless my memory is really bad, it was we the voters in Mpls that voted yes on a referendum to build this new library. I do not remember any referendum for us to pay for more police officers on that ballot. If that is what you want, then get a referendum for more officers on the ballot and see how well it does with the voters. Enough already on the Library. What's done is done. If you think it was wrong where were you when it was a ballot issue? This issue is now on the level of spilled milk, move on to the unspilled milk and accomplish something. Maybe our time ranting on this issue would be better put toward what may or may not happen on the island. My rant here is not aimed at Dan, but all of you that have not let go on this issue.
