Gee whiz and I thought this was all about the kids and what they enjoy, not whether the parents are bored with seeing yet another playground. As much as we parents may not find this the most thrilling thing in the world, if I proposed this idea to my 9 and 4 year olds - they would find it as the perfect quest (not that I'll suggest it). And maybe this jaunt is about exercise not about education (is Camp Snoopy educational?), however, as an ex-educator I find it rather entertaining to invaribly find teaching moments in the least obvious of situations. Personally my kids just love a great hike in the park woods along the river - great teaching moments there too.
