Natalie Johnson Lee's good buddy the Rev Bob Battle plays a supporting role in this video encouraging attendance at an anti-gay rally at the Capitol April 20:

There is something very unfortunate about posts that allude to a slender thread of connection between two people (NJL & Battle) and the almost olympian leaps of logic required to assert that NJL, therefore, agrees with Battle on his position on gay marriage. Or even to presume that NJL has a position on gay marriage. Believe it or not, in the black community in this city at least, there are connections among people that, forsooth, o'erleap such madness and two folks who are even diametrically opposed politically can be friends.

IF NJL thinks about gay marriage one way or the other, it's hardly the forefront of her politics. She has the toughest ward in the city which is under siege. Not only is the ward under siege by criminals, but the heavy tax payers in the ward have been gerrymandered out of the fifth ward and into the 7th ward in one of the more recent boneheaded, city-defeating, stupid redistrictings outside of Texas. She's in a struggle for re-election against a strong opponent, since the redistricting was jerryrigged in part to confine the influence of people of color. (Can't have all those black folks, even if they're Jamaican, be in just any old ward.)

Is there any reason to bait NJL on this list? I'll bet you three dollars to a doughnut she doesn't even read this list as a lurker.
