I doubt that collaboration with other municipalities will provide much benefit. We will be better off if there are more providers and there is some competition for the best service even within the city. Also, the providers should be given the shortest possible time terms in the contract in order to take advantage of the inevitable innovations that will be coming.

I'm very excited about the opportunities access to the wi-fi service will provide to public schools. It could reduce some of the infrastructure costs the district is now paying and increase significantly the possibilities for utilization in our schools.
