Great thanks to The Minneapolis Observer <http://www.mplsobserver.com> for the snappy, timely report on the Mayor's State of the City address. Kudos also go to KFAI for announcing that our mayor was giving this address this afternoon.

I checked the Star Tribune paper version beforehand and on-line version this evening, and could not find mention in either place of the Mayor's address. I suppose they'll get to it for the morning paper, but I am disappointed that they didn't bring it up beforehand. (My apologies if it is there and I missed it; I've no doubt someone will tell me which page it's on if it is there after all.) Homegrown media continues to impress me.

R.T. Rybak dropped by In The Heart of the Beast Theatre after his address, and admired the brilliant and thrilling art being created by us ordinary Minneapolitans; he was also perfectly willing to chat with the citizenry. I spoke to him about several things, and have another question that came to me after reading The Observer's article on The State of the City. I'll send that to you in private mail, Mr. Mayor.

It's nearly mid-April; if you've wanted to work on the May Day parade, maybe this your year? Info: <http://www.hobt.org> *Everyone* is welcome.
